Establishment and Status:
SAMAIL College of Technology and Industry (SCTI) Pemba is a private educational and training institution
established in 2017 to pursue training in short and long term programmes in various fields related to business,
technology and industrial development. The College was granted Provisional Registration by the National Council
for Technical Education (NACTE) in 2018. It was also granted Provisional Registration by Vocational Training Authority
(VTA) Zanzibar in 2018. In June 2020 Samail College of Technology and Industry was granted Full Registration by NACTE.
In February, 2021 Samail College of Technology and Industry was granted registration by Ministry of
Education and Vocational Training, and In august, 2021 Samail College of Technology and Industry
was granted Accreditation Candidacy Status.
The SAMAIL College is situated at Gombani, Chake chake Pemba. The location close to the Indian Ocean is embraced with tranquil,
beautiful green scenery of exotic vegetation. The place is centrally located with easy transport access to different parts
of the township and to various academic and professional learning amenities.
Currently the College offers programmes in Business Administration, Procurement and Supply, Business Operation Assistance,
Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, English Course, Arabic Course and Basic Computer Application.
Of late SAMAIL has made a strategic direction towards focusing on other academic fields.
The College now envisages establishing a programme in Office Secretary ship.
The programme has high prospects of success considering high demand shown by
stakeholders in Pemba and Zanzibar as well as Tanzania Mainland.
To be the most excellent College in Zanzibar that is serving the society by providing better knowledge of business, Information and Communication Technology, Engineering and the general education for active and glodal careers.
